Our Mission

Make Plumbing An Art.

There is more to what we do than just putting pipes together. It's how the system works, how it looks, and the function of what we do. When a job is finished there is a joy we receive by knowing that it looks good, and works. We take pride in what we do.

Plumbing As An Art

It's not just pipes — it's how the system works, how it looks, and how it serves the people who use it. We take pride in finishing every job well.

Respect For Humanity

We believe respect is what makes a community worth living in. At home, on the job, and out in the Valley, we set that standard through our words and actions — and we honor it through our Respect Award.

Protecting The Nation's Health

Plumbing keeps your drinking water safe and your waste disposed of properly. We take that responsibility seriously — knowing a little about plumbing doesn't make someone a plumber. We're proud to call ourselves Plumbers.

The Full Story

Four Owners. One Legacy.

In 1960, a Christian couple decided to make their dream a reality by opening Dillon Plumbing & Welding in Nampa, Idaho. Little did they know, this business would establish a legacy that transcended through generations and became a respected fixture in the community.

1960

James Lloyd & Clara Dillon

James Lloyd learned the welding trade serving in World War II. After the war, he became a journeyman. Together with his wife Clara, they founded the business — James calling on clients, Clara handling scheduling and the books. They later dropped the welding side and renamed the company Dillon Plumbing. James built a book of business and a reputation as a hardworking Christian, and his work inspired his son, John, to learn the trade.

1983

John & Myrna Dillon

John became a journeyman and, in 1983, partnered with his father. The two worked side by side for years before James retired, and John and his wife Myrna assumed full ownership. John continued the work his father had started, serving customers with the same values he was raised on. Tragically, at age 43, John suffered a massive heart attack and passed away — leaving sole ownership in Myrna's hands while she raised two young children. "I don't believe I'm supposed to shut the business down," she kept telling herself. Within two weeks she faced her first obstacle: Idaho requires a journeyman with a contractor's license on staff. Myrna gave her most experienced journeyman the week off to study; he passed the test and the state's requirement was met. The next six months brought hardship — two of her journeymen took advantage of her, but firing them risked the contractor's license itself.

1993

Tobi Wilson

Myrna printed 200 flyers about her intention to sell. She received one call — from a man named Tobi, who had known her late husband and offered to help after he passed. Tobi's values aligned with Myrna's, and the transaction was a perfect match. They met on a Saturday in 1993, nearly a year after John's passing; by Monday, Tobi was the new owner. At just 33, Tobi recalls he was probably out of his mind buying a business — but his father had always told him that if he ever got the chance to buy an established one, he should. The Dillon name worked in his favor; many locals were already loyal to it. He weathered years of tight payrolls and the 2008 recession by leaning on the residential base when commercial building stalled. In 2017, Tobi began looking for the next steward.

2017

Brandon Wright

Also a faith-based man with strong values, Brandon saw the tremendous value of Dillon Plumbing and its established reputation. A free-thinking entrepreneur who made his own rules after a series of hardships, Brandon has been both a successful business owner and a consultant to other small businesses — including one he started, UltraClean Disaster Response Team, which grew into a $2.4 million operation. Today, Brandon is bringing Dillon Plumbing into the digital age while keeping the community spirit of the business alive and steadily growing it for the decades ahead.
