Drain Cleaning
Clear the clog. Find the cause. Keep it from coming back.
Expert Drain Cleaning
A slow drain is a warning. A backed-up drain stops your day. Either way, the job is the same: clear the line and understand why it clogged.
We clear kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and main sewer lines. When a clog keeps returning, we look inside the pipe before recommending anything more.
Signs you need drain cleaning
- Water drains slowly from a sink, tub, or shower
- Drains or the toilet gurgle when another fixture runs
- A sewage smell comes from a drain
- Water backs up into a tub or floor drain when you flush or run laundry
- More than one drain is slow at the same time
- A clog returns within weeks of being cleared
What causes clogs in Treasure Valley homes
- Grease and food waste building up in kitchen lines
- Hair and soap scum in bathroom drains
- Mineral scale from hard water narrowing the inside of the pipe
- Tree roots entering older clay or cast-iron sewer lines
- Sagging or damaged sections of the main line that catch debris
What we handle
- Kitchen sink and disposal drains
- Bathroom sinks, tubs, and showers
- Laundry and floor drains
- Main sewer line clogs
- Root cutting
- Hydro jetting for grease, scale, and roots
- Camera inspection for recurring clogs
What affects the cost
- Which line is clogged: a single fixture or the main line
- Access: whether the home has a cleanout
- The right tool: a cable machine or hydro jetting
- Whether a camera inspection is needed to find the cause
Before we arrive
- Stop running water into the clogged drain.
- If several drains are backing up, hold off on flushing and laundry.
- Skip chemical drain cleaners. They can damage pipes and create a hazard for whoever opens the line next.

Drain Cleaning Questions, Answered
Straight answers from local plumbers who've been working in Nampa and the Treasure Valley since 1960.
How much does drain cleaning cost?
+
Drain cleaning pricing depends on which line we're clearing, how the clog is accessed, and whether a snake or hydro-jet is the right tool for the job. We'll give you a clear, upfront price at your door before any work starts — no surprises after the fact. Call 208.466.3707 for a quote.
Why do drains clog so often in older homes?
+
Older homes can have cast-iron, galvanized, or clay drain lines that have narrowed over decades from grease, soap scum, and root intrusion. We diagnose the underlying cause rather than just clearing the symptom so the clog doesn't keep coming back.
Do you use a camera to inspect drains?
+
Yes. For recurring clogs or main-line issues we run a sewer camera so you can see exactly what's going on — roots, sags, or a broken pipe — before you spend a dime on a repair you may not need.
Is hydro jetting safe for my pipes?
+
For sound pipes, yes. Hydro jetting clears grease, scale, and roots far more thoroughly than a basic snake. If a camera inspection shows your line is fragile or collapsing, we'll tell you straight up and recommend a repair instead.
How fast can you get to a clogged drain?
+
We'll always give you an honest ETA when you call. We're open Mon–Fri 8a–4:30p and schedule as quickly as our calendar allows. Call 208.466.3707 to check today's availability.
Are chemical drain cleaners safe to use?
+
We don't recommend them. Store-bought caustic and acidic drain cleaners can damage older pipes, eat through rubber gaskets, and create a dangerous splash hazard for the next person who opens the trap. Mechanical clearing is safer and actually fixes the clog.
Why is more than one drain backing up at the same time?
+
Multiple drains backing up at once almost always means the main sewer line — not an individual fixture — is blocked. That's a job for a sewer-rated machine or a camera-and-jet, not a hand snake. Don't keep running water until it's cleared.
Can tree roots really get into a sealed drain line?
+
Yes — and they're a common cause of recurring main-line clogs in Nampa, Boise, and the older parts of the Treasure Valley. Roots find the smallest joint or hairline crack, then grow toward the water. We can cut them with a sewer machine and recommend a long-term fix once we see the line on camera.
How often should I have my drains cleaned as preventive maintenance?
+
For most homes, never — unless you've had recurring issues. If you have mature trees over the sewer line or an aging cast-iron stack, a yearly camera check and proactive cleaning can save you from a holiday-weekend backup.
Do you guarantee your drain cleaning work?
+
Yes. If we clear a drain and it stops up again from the same cause within our workmanship warranty window, we come back and re-clear it. If the camera shows the line is broken or collapsed, we'll be straight with you up front so you're not paying for the same drain twice.
