Fixture Installation

New faucets, sinks, and showers, installed right the first time.

Expert Fixture Installation

A new fixture should look good and work for years. That depends on what's behind the wall as much as the fixture itself.

We install faucets, sinks, shower valves, and more, including fixtures you've bought yourself. We check shutoffs and supply lines so the install holds up.

  • Dripping faucets that keep coming back
  • Low flow from faucets or showerheads
  • Spotted, corroded, or worn finishes
  • Shutoff valves that are seized or leaking
  • A kitchen or bathroom remodel
  • Converting a tub to a walk-in shower

What shortens fixture life in Treasure Valley homes

  • Hard water mineral buildup in cartridges and aerators
  • Low-quality fixtures with no replacement parts available
  • Old shutoff valves and supply lines

Nampa Plumber FAQ

Fixture Installation Questions, Answered

Straight answers from local plumbers who've been working in Nampa and the Treasure Valley since 1960.

Can you install a faucet I bought myself?

+

Absolutely. We install homeowner-supplied faucets, showerheads, sinks, and tub fillers. Bring it home from a big-box store or order online — we'll handle the install and warranty our workmanship.

How much does it cost to install a new faucet or fixture?

+

A standard kitchen or bathroom faucet install is straightforward when existing valves and supply lines are in good shape. Older homes with corroded shutoffs may need a few extra parts — we'll quote in writing before starting.

What fixture brands hold up best in Treasure Valley water?

+

We see the best long-term results from Moen, Delta, Kohler, and Pfister with ceramic-disc cartridges. Avoid the no-name imports — they often look great for a year, then the cartridges fail and replacement parts don't exist.

Do you install fixtures in new bathrooms and remodels?

+

Yes. We handle rough-in and finish plumbing for bathroom and kitchen remodels. We coordinate with your contractor or designer so the inspections pass the first time.

Will hard water ruin my new fixtures?

+

Hard water will leave mineral spots and shorten the life of cheap fixtures. A whole-home water softener helps a lot. For new fixtures, wipe them dry after use and you'll get years more life out of the finish.

Can you replace a tub with a walk-in shower?

+

We handle the plumbing side of a tub-to-shower conversion — relocating the drain, capping the tub spout, and roughing in the new valve and showerhead. We coordinate with your tile or surround installer so the rough-in is exactly where it needs to be.

What's the difference between a pressure-balance and thermostatic shower valve?

+

Pressure-balance valves protect against scalding when another fixture is used. Thermostatic valves do the same and also let you set an exact temperature, which is great for larger showers with multiple heads or body sprays. We install both.

Can you install a pot filler over my range?

+

Yes, as long as we can get a supply line to the wall behind the range. We run new copper or PEX through the cabinet and stub it out at the proper height before your tile or backsplash work.

Do you install outdoor hose bibs and frost-free spigots?

+

Yes. Frost-free hose bibs are a smart upgrade for any Treasure Valley home — they drain back inside the heated envelope so the spigot can't freeze and burst. We can replace failing exterior spigots and add new ones where needed.

How long does a typical fixture install take?

+

A straightforward faucet or fixed-showerhead swap usually takes about an hour. A new shower valve, pot filler, or rough-in change takes longer because we're working behind the wall. We'll give you a realistic time estimate when you book.
